Vounteer drivers are here to help.
Warwickshire Voluntary Transport (WVT) is a partnership of the community transport services operating across Warwickshire. It was formed in February 2008 to establish a co-ordinated strategic approach for communicating with the health authorities and other significant agencies.
By working together the partners can help each other overcome operational and financial problems and have adopted the same standards, policies and procedures (with local variations where necessary).
The WVT Partnership works together to set a minimum standard for voluntary driving across Warwickshire.
WVT schemes have agreed that:
- All volunteers will have a minimum of 3 years driving experience, a good driving record and will undergo an enhanced DBS check
- The WVT Volunteer Driver sign will be displayed on the dashboard whilst on duty
- All WVT schemes have adopted the Operational Guidelines, Volunteer Driver Role Description and Volunteer Driver and WVT Agreement.
